What does the future of feminist activism look like? For the protest group Femen, it means using their bare chests and voices to bring attention to women’s rights. The group encourages women to fight patriarchal abuses in all forms - from sex trafficking to government dictatorship, and even religion.

Although Femen was founded in 2008 in Ukraine, the movement is growing internationally. Femen has recently opened its first boot camp in Paris and is training new recruits in a self-described form of “sextremism”. The group continues to draw controversy and some feel their methods are counter-productive to mainstream feminist causes.
